This work includes a programme of weekly drop-in sessions and clinics for young people, the provision of 1-2-1 support and information and opportunities for young people to gain experience through volunteering as well taking part in more focused projects and accessing provision by a range of partners and services. In addition the programme includes a wellbeing offers for schools and 16+ settings as well as the offer of training for the schools workforce in providing a peer mentoring programme.

Chilypep is currently funded by Barnsley CCG to provide young people with lived experience of mental ill health the help and support they need as well as opportunities to link with partner organisations across Barnsley working to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of young people. As a Barnsley CCG and BMBC participation partner we work to involve young people in service design and development both @H.O.M.E. and across community settings. This involves including young people in decision making @H.O.M.E. and offering training for young people with lived experience of mental ill health as peer mentors to support other young people. Young people are involved in recruitment of new staff, service design and development, and training.
