RUBIC² Community Development Worker

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Community Development Worker to work on our RUBIC² (Respect and Understanding; Building Inclusive Communities) Project. RUBIC² builds upon our previously Lottery funded RUBIC project and seeks to increase awareness and create a better understanding for individuals and communities of difference and looks to reduce the space which hostile and divisive narratives and perceptions create. Using a model of specialist interventions including safe space conversations, conflict resolution workshops and training, participation work with young people and opportunities for people to increase their understanding and knowledge of the refugee and asylum-seeking communities, RUBIC² is building upon three years of work in North Sheffield engaging communities of young people and adults in dialogue around cohesion issues, working with them to affect change in their own lives and that of the communities in which they live. 

  • Salary:FTE NJC Scale 6 Point 22: (£27,041.00) to SO 1 Point 24: (£28,672.00) as of 1st April 2020 (NJC Pay Award Pending) Pro Rata, funded until end March 2024
  • Hours: 22.5 per week [FTE 37 hours]
  • Pension: 8% employer contribution
  • Annual Leave and Bank holiday entitlement: 38 days pro rata
  • Access to clinical supervision
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • End Date: 31st March 2024
