Rebecca Brownett

Youth Work Coordinator

Rebecca will be establishing and managing the new team and projects at the Southy Hill Hub.  The projects will promote positive mental health, well being and learning, through an optimistic outlook and community engagement.

She has worked with children, young people and SEND for over 25 years.  Rebecca has worked in various environments as a Performer, Red Coat, Childrens Rep, Banker and the list continued. She has lived in Cyprus, Zante, Corfu and Lapland (met the official Father Christmas!). Furthermore, Scarborough, Liverpool, the Midlands and settled in Sheffield, born and bred.

Led Youth and Arts projects on the Arbourthorne and Sharrow in Sheffield. Including a Drama School and drama based projects to improve self-esteem and confidence.

Rebecca has a degree in Acting (Performing Arts), a PGCE and QTS, in other words a qualified teacher. Directed devised, scripted and musical performances. Written and implemented differentiated schemes of work.

In her spare time she enjoys singing, dancing, walking and spending time with family and friends.

Rebecca is extremely excited about being involved in the up and coming new projects, being integrated within the community and facilitating young people to reach for the stars. As they are capable of anything, if they put their mind to it and with the correct support.
