Bekah Harris

Assistant Project Worker

Pronouns: she/her

I am an Assistant Project Worker on the STAMP group where young people use their voices to influence Sheffield’s mental health services.  After doing my bachelor’s degree in Social Anthropology and my master’s degree in Public Health, I started working with young people in a group therapy setting while also helping to support co-produced creative projects on issues young people face with their mental health.

My favourite things about working at Chilypep are the lovely people I get to work alongside and how the young people involved are at the centre of everything we do.  As a teenager, I would use my own experiences of navigating mental health services by participating in events to raise awareness and tackle mental health stigma and so coming to work at Chilypep feels like going full circle by being able to help young people with similar experiences have a platform to create change!

I enjoy going for long walks in the Peaks, baking vegan cakes, cross-stitch and embroidery, and spending time with my cat, Alfie.
