Our Young Comissioners group have created some up to date Hate Crime resources including posters and an information leaflet. Working with Rachel Ferrington (Barnsley Hate Crime Coordinator) and Tom Driver (Senior Public Health Officer at Barnsley Council), they used current and old informative resources to make more young person friendly versions displaying their key messages. They also created a leaflet on blue as a dyslexia friendly version. Download the posters and leaflets below:

We launched these resources at a LGBTQ+ Hate Crime Awareness Week Event at Barnsley Library organised by Barnsley Council. As part of the day’s line up, LGBTQ+ Young people from Chilypep ran a workshop with professionals to share their stories and lived experiences. We plan to do more events like this in future using these updated resources.
