I’m Assistant Voice and Influence Project Worker across Sheffield and Barnsley, branching out to South Yorkshire for some regional work. I was previously a member our STAMP group since I was 17, before volunteering and getting my role as staff member in 2024. Part of my role as Assistant Project Worker is to co-run our STAMP group in Sheffield, and Young Commissioners/Health Champion group in Barnsley. I also deliver participation training to professionals and I’m a part of lived experience mental health research outside of my role at Chilypep.

Chilypep played a pivotal role in helping me find my footing and has solidified my passion for youth work and helping young people find their voice, much like Chilypep helped me to do. There is so much value in empowering young people to shape their world, and I love that I get to be a part of steering that for them.

My favourite thing about working for Chilypep has got to be working with our amazing young people! I learn so much from them, and it’s a privilege to watch them grow in confidence with what they get involved with in Chilypep. With an amazing staff and volunteer team, I feel supported to be the best youth worker I can!

In my time off, I enjoy being in nature, foraging or birdwatching, lino printing, playing cosy games and spending time with my cat, Kato 😊
